A word about the stairlift world: I have been selling and installing stairlifts since 1961. I can safely say that I know more about them than just about anyone.
Most stairlifts other than Stannah are not of high enough quality to be reinstalled, let alone refurbished. Many of them only had a one-year Guarantee when installed. Most claim to never need service.
The thoughts in the industry seem to be that we are old folks and will not need the lift long because of our age or physical condition. They thereby have designed stair lifts based on building them as cheaply as possible.
A Stairlift is a major investment, and you need to be sure your money is well spent. We will come to the location where the stairlift is going to be installed and meet the user and see the stairway to ensure we have a unit that will fit your stairway and meet your personal needs. It is seldom that we do not.
