Custom Stairlifts Mountain West

Custom stairlifts Mountain West are an easy, safe, and affordable way for individuals who’ve limited mobility to regain their freedom and independence, allowing them to remain in their homes and achieve better mobility outside.

Stannah Mountain West Stairlifts provide custom curved stairlifts from Stannah – one of the industry’s top brands – each with a range of add-on options and additional features. Your custom stairlift unit is tailored to fit the unique pathway of your staircase’s curves and landings, ensuring an exact fit. This improves the overall look and saves space on your staircase.

Our custom stairlifts Mountain West can be designed to fit on either side of your staircase – out technicians will work with your preference when installing your stairlift.

We provide free in-home, virtual, and/or over-the-phone consultations, where one of our professionals will help you determine the right stairlift model that’s best suited for your needs.

Stairlift Length & Width Requirements

Custom curved stairlifts can be designed to fit nearly any length of the staircase. Prior to the installation process, our technicians will visit your home to carry out an assessment and take exact measurements of your staircase. This ensures that the final product fits your staircase exactly.

Curved stairlifts are available in a range of widths, depending on the needs of the user. Most stairlifts require only about 29” of space, which most modern staircases can easily accommodate. When not in use, the armrests, seat, and footrest fold against the wall to maximize the staircase space for others.

Stairlift Power Source

Our indoor custom stairlifts Mountain West are battery-powered but require a standard 110V outlet to recharge the battery unit. In the event of a power outage, a fully-charged stairlift battery will continue to run until the stored charge is exhausted.

Features & Additional Options

  1. Rail Overruns

Rail overruns extend the railing of a stairlift beyond the staircase. At the top of the staircase, curved rail overruns extend a few feet away from the top landing of your staircase, and may even wrap around a nearby corner to allow a user to safely transfer in and out of the stairlift seat in a safe area away from the staircase.

At the bottom of the staircase, curved rail overruns wrap the unit’s bottom railing around a corner and out of hallway traffic.

During your free, no-obligation consultation, our technician will discuss the additional rail options to determine the best stairlift pathway to best suit your needs and enhance your home’s safety.

  1. Stairlift Operations

A switch or button in the armrest of the unit controls most stairlifts. This controller may be placed on either armrest – let our technicians know your preferred side to ensure smooth operation. To operate your stairlift, simply the rocker switch or button on the unit’s armrest.

Our custom stairlifts Mountain West also come with a standard call/send switch, which is mounted on the wall near the staircase’s bottom. An extra switch may be added at the top of your staircase. This switch will enable multi-user households to access the unit when necessary and provides a means to send the chair of the stairlift to a different position on your staircase and out of the way when not in use.

  1. Swivel Seats

Stairlift seat can swivel to ensure safer transitions in and out of the seat. Depending on the user’s abilities, you may prefer to add a power swivel seat feature, which will automatically turn the seat instead of doing it manually. During your free home visit/consultation, our technicians will advise you on the right style of seat that is best for your needs.
